Epsom Salt Baths

Epsom Salt Baths for Detoxification

Epsom salt baths are a great way to support detoxification and nervous system health. Epsom salt is a form of magnesium that is easily absorbable by the skin. Magnesium is involved in many processes in our bodies, including detoxification and antioxidant production.

Just like with using a sauna, epsom salt baths with warm water promote sweating. Between increasing magnesium and promoting sweating, there is an antioxidant and detox effect taking place.

Incorporating 1-3 epsom salt baths per week during a time you’re able to relax is another tool to add to your detoxification practices.

You do not need to sauna and take epsom salt baths – you can pick whatever practice feels best for you or alternate between them.

Include 1-2 cups of epsom salts in a standard size bath with warm water. If you do not have a bath, you can mix 1/2 cup in a bucket and do a foot soak instead.

Our world is changing. The number of manmade chemicals and environmental exposures we come into contact with daily is dramatically increasing.

Think of sauna use, lymph exercises, and epsom salt baths as a necessary part of your wellness routine. If tolerated and medically appropriate, start incorporating these practices regularly.
