Our Summer Refresh is a special 3-week program on our private community–open to anyone who signs up by June 17, 2025.

Valued at $599, this program is FREE for members and $99 for non-members.

In Chinese medicine, summer is energetically powerful and a time when Yang energy (active, outward, expansive energy) is at its peak, fueled from the Fire Element.

That makes summer a potent period for taking action on health goals such as improving your cardiometabolic health, viewing food as fun and joyful fuel, and feeling good in your body again. As Skylar Weir, MS, RDN says, “embrace state [of mind] not weight.”

We believe true health includes community. Our program includes weekly zooms, a 24/7 chat, ability to connect with other members, and for members, personalized support based off your labs for summer foods, emotional wellbeing, and habit creation.

Three weeks to help you make the most out of the season of pure joy, fire, and passion.

Week One: Building Healthy Habits

This week we teach you how to tap into the Fire Element in TCM and understanding how boundaries, discernment, and clarity ensure your energy is spent fueling your passions, and building healthy habits.

Week Two: Take Action on Big Dreams

This week, we’ll discuss the energy of summer in TCM, and how this time of expansion, activity, and vitality encourages us to go outward, pursue passions, and connect with others. Summer is a potent time to create.

Week Three: Boost Your Metabolism

This week you’ll learn how to understand what your body is communicating and the root causes for not feeling vibrant. You’ll tap into summer energy and align food, movement, and wellbeing to feel energetic and boost your metabolism.

Introductions & Building Healthy Habits


Welcome Session:
Join us for our first Zoom session on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM EDT!

We’ll kick off your 3-week journey with an overview of how aligning with the energy of the Summer season can help you set boundaries and clear your path.

🌞 This week’s focus:
We’ll explore the Fire Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and learn how to channel your energy into what truly fuels you, laying the foundation for sustainable, passion-driven habits.

Feeling the Fire
The Fire element, associated with Summer in Traditional Chinese Medicine, governs the Heart and Small Intestine in Chinese medicine.

The Heart is seen as the “emperor” of the body—it houses the Shen, or spirit and governs joy, connection, passion, and clarity.

When Fire energy is balanced, we feel inspired, social, emotionally warm, and motivated.

When it’s excessive or deficient, we might feel restless, anxious, burned out, or scattered.

In TCM, the Small Intestine is connected not just to digestion, but also to discrimination, and mental clarity (literally deciding what to “take in” or expel).

Together, we’ll learn how to protect our “flame” and not get bogged down.

Join us for our second group zoom session on our member community.

This Week’s Focus: Embracing the Energy of Summer in TCM
Summer is a time of expansion, activity, and vitality. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s the season to nourish the Fire Element—our inner spark.

This week, we’ll explore how to channel this energy outward, pursue our passions, and cultivate meaningful connections with ourselves and others.

What to Expect:

Lab Work: If you’re a new member, this is the week to complete and mail back your tests. (The sooner, the better!)

Wellbeing Practices: Discover how to infuse your days with playfulness, creativity, and inspiration. Learn to balance activity with rest, ensuring your spirit remains nourished.

We’ll delve into what truly fuels your fire and discuss ways to nurture that flame in a sustainable and fulfilling way. Summer is the perfect season to embark on practices that can become lasting habits.

week 3 July 2

Boost Your Metabolism & Fuel Your Fire


🌿 Community Zoom – Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 7:00 PM EDT

Join us for our third group session as we continue supporting each other in practical, meaningful ways.

This Week’s Focus: Understanding What Your Body Is Telling You
This week, we’ll take a closer look at what may be getting in the way of feeling balanced in your body—things like fatigue, bloating, cravings, or stalled progress. You’ll learn how to read those signals more clearly and start addressing root causes instead of just managing symptoms.

We’ll also talk about how aligning your food and movement with the Summer season can support your metabolism, digestion, and even weight—without extremes.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

🍉 Food as Support, Not Stress:
We’ll walk through what seasonal eating actually looks like—foods that are cooling but not depleting, nourishing but not heavy, and full of natural color and vitality.

You’ll learn how these choices support your Heart, Small Intestine, and Shen (your mental-emotional clarity and calm), without needing a complete kitchen overhaul. Think: realistic shifts that feel good.

We’ll also share recipes, food tips, and ways to enjoy meals that feel satisfying and steady—not restrictive or draining.

🏃 Movement That Makes Sense:

We’ll talk about ways to move that support cardiovascular health, without pushing your system into overdrive.

If you’re a member with labs, you’ll get personalized movement recommendations.

If you’re not, we’ll offer simple, sustainable practices that help with energy and overall wellbeing.

This session is about getting honest with what your body needs.

week 4 July 9

Epilogue: Celebrating Success


Goal: We’ll have a final group zoom to celebrate your journey and share insights.

If you are a new member, you’ll likely have your lab results in by now and we can send you personalized summer tips to complement your protocol.

Hopefully you’ll have set boundaries, embraced your inner fire, nourished your body with energy-producing foods, and set the stage for ongoing health and wellbeing.

Julie has been an entrepreneur and founder for the past 25 years. Her last consultancy helped Fortune 100s and their executives transform their businesses and lives. Prior to that she ran a startup. She has a masters degree in Journalism from Northeastern University in Boston, and a BA from Umass Amherst in English Literature. She is a former CPT and aerobics instructor.

Madeline Cunningham
LAc, IHP, AFMCP

Maddy is a licensed
acupuncturist and herbalist,
functional medicine provider and certified hypnotist. After spending her early professional life working at a successful hedge fund, she became fascinated in understanding the connection between the mind and body, pursuing degrees, certifications, and mentorships in various forms of medicine. 

Skylar Weir
MS, RDN

Skylar is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who earned her Master of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and completed her dietetic internship at
UC San Diego Health hospital systems. Her own health journey and experience healing ignited her passion and curiosity for nutrition, healthcare, and addressing the root cause of imbalances.
