Skylar Weir

Skylar Weir, MS, RDN

Skylar is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who earned her Master of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver and completed her dietetic internship at UC San Diego Health hospital systems.

Prior to becoming an RDN, Skylar graduated
from California Polytechnical State University at San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and worked as an engineer for just over four years.

Her own health journey and experience healing from chronic illness ignited her passion and curiosity for nutrition and healthcare.

During her time at UC San Diego Health, she received extensive training in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including critical, medical, and surgical intensive care, kidney and liver transplant, emergency medicine, diabetes management, chronic kidney disease, weight management, integrative nutrition, eating disorder treatment, and sports
nutrition.

While her clinical training was largely focused on hospital-based care or working with populations who already have chronic disease, such as those with diabetes, Skylar has always thought outside the box as a practitioner.

She recognizes the need for more collaborative healthcare that utilizes aspects of ancient wisdom, such as Acupuncture, to address the root of imbalances that exist in
the body.

“When I work with clients on their nutrition, I’m never giving surface level, one-size fits
all recommendations because we are all different. Sure, there are common strategies I
discuss with everyone, but I’m always taking a deep dive on their health history, current
relationship with food, lifestyle, habits, food preferences, symptoms, goals, and more so
that we can create dietary and lifestyle changes the leave them feeling confident and
excited.”

Personalized and Positive Approach to Food

Skylar believes food is medicine, whether we are addressing a disordered relationship with food and our body or working on optimizing our digestion and gut health.

When working with Skylar, she always emphasizes the importance of establishing a positive relationship with food and your body while working on nutrition
and lifestyle behavior change.

Skylar currently resides in Steamboat Springs, CO where she’s an avid trail runner, biker, and winter sport athlete.

She’s looking forward to supporting the community at
Reve Health, which strongly aligns with her desire to bring more collaborative, accessible, and approachable solutions to healthcare.
